McJezus’is a low-culture phenomenon. This project reveals the beauty of mass-production and mass-culture, but taken up a notch. McJezus’ rises to divine proportions, complete with all the rituals and symbols that accompany religious worship. Big corporations like McJezus’ take well-considered decisions and leave nothing to chance. From the surface everything appears perfect, but underneath a superficial, perverse reality feeds on our primitive desires.
The installation consists of multiple objects, such as reproduced plastic trays with their own placemats. Nuns hand out fries for communion, but don’t forget the special McJesus’ dipping sauces.
